SUMMARY
Porcelain restorations remain the preferred aesthetic option for many clinicians because direct bonding techniques are still considered intricate, sensitive and, to a certain extent, unpredictable. These drawbacks can be overcome today; we are witnessing a rejuvenation of composite application techniques in the context of ‘bio-aesthetics’. Dr Didier Dietschi presents a case which illustrates
the potential of this treatment modality. Education aims and objectives: To understand the concept and potentia; behind the development of new composite application techniques as a treatment modality, and the benefi ts of a new array of indications and layering concepts. Expected outcomes: To learn, among other techniques, the practical and aesthetic value of applying the ‘natural layering concept’ within a case as well as the linguobuccal technique.
